Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the services provided by Torrance Notary ("we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. In addition, when using these particular services, you shall be subject to any posted guidelines or rules applicable to such services. Any participation in this service will constitute acceptance of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
2. Provision of Services
We provide mobile notary public services, loan signing, apostille, and other document-related services. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without notice. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time, subject to applicable laws.
3. Travel Fee Disclaimer & Billing Policy
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING FEES:
We do not charge per notarization in a manner that exceeds state maximums. Any fee quote that we provide is an estimate based on the amount of time we spend onsite, mileage, distance taking into account after-hours, weekend and rush requests, plus any state fees for Apostille services.
The estimate we provide reflects all of these factors so and is generally referred to as a lump sum as a travel fee. If we quote you a $25 per additional signature for mobile notarization, that is not the fee for the notarization itself but rather what we calculate when determining the amount of time it takes us to complete that notarization, and any loose certificates, oaths or affirmations as necessary.
These quotes and rates we provide are not to be confused with what the state mandated maximum fee as we do not charge any fees for the actual notarization but rather our time and travel to perform the requested signing plus any additional services you may request such as print documents, make copies, scan after signing, mailing or any other similar request.
4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy
We understand that plans change. However, we ask for at least 2 hours notice for cancellations of mobile appointments. Any rush appointment can not canceled after the Notary has been dispatched. If a cancellation is requested after a Notary has been dispatched, then a cancellation fee in the amount of 50% of the appointment total or $100, whichever is greater will be due.
If the Signer is unwilling or does not have a valid ID to complete the notarization after the Notary arrives, then a cancellation fee equal to the Travel Location fee will be required.
Cancellations made with less than 2 hours notice or "no-shows" at the appointment time may also be subject to a cancellation fee to cover the travel time and expense incurred by our notary.
5. Identification Requirements
Each Signer must have a valid government issued picture ID.
It is the signer's responsibility to provide this identification at the time of the appointment. Acceptable forms of ID typically include a driver's license, passport, or state ID card. If proper identification cannot be provided, we legally cannot proceed with the notarization.
6. Disclaimer of Legal Advice
The Notary is not an Attorney and can not provide legal advice or help complete your document(s).
